Healy-Rae Plant Hire is a third generation family business established by the late Jackie Healy-Rae and his brother Dan in 1956. Jackie’s son Danny and his wife Eileen were the second generation to operate the business.
Today Healy-Rae Plant Hire is operated by brothers, Johnny and Dan Healy-Rae, Jackie’s grandsons/Danny’s sons.
Healy-Rae Plant Hire has immense experience in civil engineering and plant hire operations.
Jackie Healy-Rae can be seen here loading slag onto a Massy Ferguson 65 and trailer off of a boat at Kenmare Pier in the early 1960s. This was then delivered around the area to farmers.
